Founding Statement
The South Sudan Federal Democratic Alliance was established to advance a federal system of governance that reflects the country’s diversity, restores justice, and enables democratic political participation for all South Sudanese.
SSFDA is founded on the conviction that lasting stability, peace, and development require shared power, accountable institutions, and civilian leadership grounded in the rule of law.youth, elders, and the displaced.
Our Principles
Federalism
A constitutional order that decentralizes power, enables regional self-governance, and respects the social, cultural, and economic realities of South Sudan’s communities.
Justice
An independent legal order based on accountability, equal protection under the law, and the dignity of every citizen, including the displaced and marginalized.
Democracy
Civilian political leadership, pluralism, peaceful competition, and free participation in public life without coercion, exclusion, or violence.
Responsibility to the Nation
SSFDA brings together experienced South Sudanese leaders, professionals, and community representatives from inside the country and the diaspora.
The Alliance is united by responsibility to the nation rather than faction, ethnicity, or personal interest. Its objective is to contribute to a stable, federal, and democratic South Sudan through peaceful political means.
