📢 Reporting Atrocities in South Sudan – For Grassroots Witnesses

To Our Brave Brothers and Sisters,

We know that many of you have witnessed horrors no one should ever have to see. Others among you have survived what cannot be forgotten—violence, displacement, and the loss of loved ones. These are not just acts of war. They are grave violations of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. The enemy will be held accountable. Justice may take time, but it is coming.

Your voices matter. Speaking out—when it is safe to do so—is an act of courage. Every testimony honours those who were killed. Every whispered truth is a light in the darkness. Our hearts cry for our fallen brothers and sisters. But they are not forgotten. We will not forget.

If you have camera footage, photos, or testimony about killings, drone strikes, attacks or mass displacements – here’s where to safely send them to help bring justice and protection.

If possible, gather information if it is safe for you to do so

1. When did it happen Time and Date
2. Where did it happen
3. Who did it, what happened
4. Eyewitness accounts (you do not have to use your name for safety)
5. Pictures or videos, but be very careful as armed actors can turn very violent

You can share with SSFDA Website or email us at atrocities@ssfda.org or contact the organisations below.

🔐 Safety Tips

• Never share evidence publicly if it risks your safety
• Use Signal, WhatsApp or email for private sharing
• Ask trusted people to help forward if you have no access
• Blur faces before sharing where possible

If what you have seen haunts you, do not carry that burden alone. Speak with someone you trust. A friend, a village elder, a priest. There is strength in sharing, and healing begins with being heard.

We see you. We honour you. We will stand with you until the day justice is done and peace returns.

You are not forgotten.

With deepest solidarity,
